Some History of the Cryder House
This 20 story co-op building where Harvey S. Firestone once had his estate. Harvey Firestone was born and raised in Ohio but he lived on this majestic property until his death in 1938. Chutick and Sudakoff in 1959 the original structure was taken down to accommodate rental properties. This was known as being the most luxury apartment house in Queens. The apartment house was complete with a swimming pool, outdoor dining, private beach and boat mooring.
